Of Snow, Yosemite and Yathin

Don’t be surprised. There still are many things I haven’t yet done in life. Until the past Sunday, watching snow flakes fall so majestically through the sky was a wonder that I was unaware of. And how beautiful a place like Yosemite can be was an experience I’d missed so far. And to think, this place is just 128 miles from here! Well, thanks to Yathin, I did break the jinx (take a guess). Well, thanks to Yathin and Prasanna

I also learnt what a neat car I drive.  I’ve always been very critical of the rear space that I lack in the Infiniti FX35 however I must say, throughout that rain and throughout that snow, it did really well. Even though we did use Snow Chains, (me) mainly coz I wanted to know and Yathin probably was scared of my driving but I never felt loss of control at any time! And, did you know that Yathin can also be a very good guide Doesn’t make much of a difference to me though. I was too busy enjoying my one day of blissful life in the midst of Yosemite rather than trying to remember what was the name of that dome. “Hey Yathin, if you drop by, could you please…”

Another lesson learnt. I have an awesome (to me) camera (Canon 50D) but bad lenses. At full zoom, the 18-200 mm lens exhibits chromatic aberration. So does the 15mm fisheye. Even worse; Look at those snowflakes closely. The Magenta and the Blue are …

Oh, and if you need more photos, head out to the awesome collection of Yathin the great!
